What got my full attention tonight were complaint sites. To be honest, I had no idea those even existed. Yet there should be those, of course! If you can think of anything, you will find it somewhere on the web, that’s for sure.
That’s amazing what you can find out there. Folks complaining about free products, complaining about citizenship, about Play Station 3 high price, about Monday being the worst day of week and about credit card companies who eventually want to get their money back after some time.
Well, after some exciting research – that couldn’t be unexciting, could it? – it turned out that all the complaint sites can be divided into several major categories, based on their contents. One is about cars and their manufacturing defects. The second is about products. The third is about services (including medical). The fourth is about different internet sites. The fifth is about telecommunications. The sixth is of financial nature, about banks, billing, credit cards and prices. The seventh is about travelling and everything connected with it. The eight is about computers, software and hardware. And the ninth, and the most common one, is – well, let’s call it gripes.
Funniest part is that gripe boards are everywhere, virtually everywhere. And isn’t that amazing what do people whine about. About seeing too much porn everywhere and about not having enough free porn sites. About not being able to find a perfect bride from Russia and about not being able to get rid of one’s current girlfriend. About neighbour who are too friendy and about neighbours who won’t even say hi.
And there are review sites as well. Amazing, isn’t that absolutely amazing, even there, in reviews, there are zillions of people COMPLAINING. Got a free ticket to cinema but didn’t get free popcorn. Bought a brand new Mac and can’t run programmes for Win98 on it.
And god forbid if there is an option to leave any comments. Guess what are they like! Yes, take a wild guess! Oh my, if it’s a gripe about not having enough free porn, there are likely to be no responses. But if it is something serious most of comments are kind of insulting.
The anonymity of cyberspace. The versatile trash bin for everything. I guess it will never stop surprising me.
so, this is the first one.
welcome, me.
